Anti-Muslim hate campaign trended on Twitter with hashtag “Boycott Halal” “Halal free Diwali”. Extremists on social media took part in the hate campaign and promoted the hashtag largely. Images of Halal imprinted on the product were shared on hundreds of Twitter accounts. One such image where it was clearly written that when you buy a product, do check if it has halal stamp, if so then boycott. Else he or she will be contributing to Economic Jihad.
