Mewat Riots-- Three accused Granted Bail, Jamiat is providing legal support
New Delhi - September 11, 2023: Today, during a hearing at the Noh Sessions Court, Additional District Judge Justice Ajay Sharma granted bail to three individuals who had been arrested in connection with the Mewat riots. This significant development comes as a result of the diligent efforts put forth by the legal team appointed by Maulana Mahmood Asa’d Madani, President of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind.
Among the three individuals, one had an FIR registered against him under 261/2023, while the other two were accused in FIR 144 and 134/2023 at Nagina Police Station. The cases of these individuals have been closely monitored and pursued under the guidance of Maulana Mahmood Asa’d Madani, President of Jamiat Ulama Hind, with Advocate Muhammad Tahir Ruparia leading the legal representation.
This achievement adds to a series of successful bail grants secured through the relentless efforts of Jamiat in support of those unjustly detained in connection with the Mewat riots.
In response to the court's decision, Advocate Muhammad Tahir Ruparia stated that over three hundred individuals have been arrested in connection with the Mewat riots to date, with one hundred and fifty cases being actively pursued by Jamiat legal team. He expressed deep concern for the families whose sole breadwinners have been arrested and they have lack the resources to pursue their cases. Many of these individuals have no direct involvement in the alleged incidents.
Ruparia emphasized that his legal team is dedicated to fighting for the rights of innocent individuals with unwavering commitment, and he underscored that Jamiat has emerged as a beacon of hope for these individuals.
Furthermore, Ruparia highlighted the close collaboration between his legal team and key members of Jamiat including General Secretary Maulana Muhammad Hakeemuddin Qasmi, and legal affairs incharge Advocate Niaz Ahmad Farooqi. He also mentioned their ongoing efforts to engage and persuade authorities in support of their clients.

نئی دہلی ۔۱۱ ؍ستمبر ۲۰۲۳ : ۔آج ایڈیشنل ڈسٹرکٹ جج جسٹس اجے شرما نے نوح سیشن کورٹ میں میوات فساد سے متعلق مقدمات کی سماعت کرتے ہوئے تین لوگوں کو ضمانت دے دی ہے ۔ان میں سے ایک شخص پر نوح تھانہ میں ایف آئی نمبر 261/2023 کے تحت مقدمہ درج ہے ، جب کہ باقی دو پر نگینہ تھانہ میں ایف آئی آر 144, 134/2023 کے تحت مقدمہ درج ہے ۔ان سبھی لوگوں کے مقدمات کی پیروی صدر جمعیۃ علماء ہند مولانا محمود اسعد مدنی کی ہدایت پر معروف وکیل ایڈوکیٹ محمد طاہر روپڑیا کررہے ہیں ۔اسے قبل بھی جمعیۃ علماء ہند کی کامیاب پیروی کی وجہ سے تین لوگوں کو ضمانت مل چکی ہے ۔
عدالت کے فیصلے کے بعد ایڈوکیٹ محمد طاہر روپڑیا نے بتایا کہ اب تک میوات فساد کے حوالے سے تین سو سے زائد افراد گرفتارہوئے ہیں۔ ان میں اب تک ایک سو پچاس مقدمات کی پیروی جمعیۃ علماء ہند کی طرف سے کی جارہی ہے ۔ ہمارے پاس ایسے لوگ آتے ہیں جن کا کمانے والا ہی اندر چلاگیا ہے ، ان کے پاس مقدمہ تو دور گھر چلانے کے بھی ذرائع نہیں ہیں ، یہ لوگ گائوں دیہات کے رہنے والے ہیں، ان کو مقدمہ کے’ میم ‘سے بھی واسطہ نہیں ہے ۔ ہم ایسے معصوم اور بے قصور لوگوں کا مقدمہ پوری قوت سے لڑرہے ہیں ، ان لوگوں کے لیے جمعیۃ علماء ہند ایک امیدہے،وہ مولانا محمود اسعد مدنی صاحب کا نام لے کر ہی ہمارے پاس آتے ہیں ۔ طاہر روپڑیا نے کہا کہ میں ایک وکیل ہوں لیکن انسانی جذبات بھی سمجھتا ہوں ، جمعیۃعلماء ہند کی یہاں جد وجہد قابل ستائش ہے۔ جمعیۃ علماء ہند کے جنرل سکریٹری مولانا محمد حکیم الدین قاسمی ، قانونی معاملات کے نگراں ایڈوکیٹ نیاز احمد فاروقی،ناظم اعلیٰ جمعیۃ علماء ہریانہ ، پنجاب و ہماچل پردیش مولانا یحیی ٰکریمی وغیرہ سے لگاتار رابطہ ہے ، ہمیں امید ہے کہ مظلوموں اور متاثرہ لوگوں کو انصاف دلانے کی ہماری اور جمعیۃ علماء ہند کی جد وجہد کامیاب ہو گی ۔
